Tigers Tie for Second at Big Five Men's Golf Invitational

FLOURTOWN, Pa. -- The Princeton men's golf team finished just four shots off the pace at the two-round Big Five Invitational held at the Philadelphia Cricket Club Saturday and Sunday, tying with Seton Hall and Boston College as Cornell won the title.
Andrew Maliniak (73-76) and Juan Pablo Candela (75-74) tied for ninth as Princeton's top finishers at +7 as George Mason's J.J. Amoruso finished at even par to claim the individual title. Evan Harmeling tied for 13th at +8 with a 76 and 74, while Max Schechter tied for 23rd at +11, shooting a 78 and 75. Jake Skinner completed the Princeton contingent, finishing 65th at +21 with a 76 and 87.
The field had 15 teams, with Columbia, Georgetown, George Washington, Penn, Drexel, Villanova, Navy, Saint Joseph's, George Mason, Temple and La Salle rounding out the standings.
Princeton will have one more fall tournament Oct. 29-30 at the Seascape Invitational hosted by Old Dominion in Kitty Hawk, N.C.
