Four Tigers Advance to Wilson/ITA Round of 32

Four of five Princeton singles players won their matches Saturday to advance to the Round of 32 at the Wilson/ITA Northeast Regional championships being held at Jadwin Gymnasium.
All four seeded Tigers won their second-round matches on Saturday, led by No. 2 seed Peter Capkovic, who lost just two games in a victory over Buffalo's Kiril Kolomytes. He will play Binghamton's Sebastien Dietz in the next round on Sunday.
In the top half of the draw, No. 10 seed George Carpeni won a second-set tiebreak on the way to a win over Martin Kosut of St. John's, setting up a match against Ivy League rival Jeff Dawson from Yale in the next round.
Juniors Alex Krueger-Wyman and Alex Vuckovic both won second-round matches in straight sets Saturday. Krueger-Wyman, seeded No. 25, defeated Kiril Kasyanov from Sacred Heart by scores of 6-2 and 6-3, while No. 31 seed Vuckovic defeated David Tillem of Georgetown 6-4 and 6-1.
In the doubles draw, two Princeton teams have advanced to the final 16. The No. 6 seed team of Capkovic and Vuckovic outlasted a team from Fairleigh Dickinson 9-7 to advance, while the unseeded pair of freshman Ryan Kim and sophomore Ilya Trubov defeated a team from Fairfield 8-5 to make it to Sunday's round of 16 action.
Both singles finalists and the championship doubles team from the Wilson/ITA Northeast Regional advance to the ITA National Indoor Intercollegiate Championships, held Nov. 1-4 in Columbus, Ohio.
