Men's Golf Finishes Ninth at Old Dominion Invitational

KITTY HAWK, N.C. -- Evan Harmeling fired a second-round 68 to finish at -1 and tie for fifth place at the Old Dominion Seascape Invitational in Kitty Hawk, N.C. Princeton finished ninth as a team at the two-round event which concluded Tuesday.
Harmeling, a freshman, shot 71 in his first round on the par-70 course as all five Tigers bettered or equaled their first-round scores. Junior Andrew Maliniak finished 20th at +4 with a pair of 72s, while junior Max Schechter tied for 33rd at +7 with a 77 and 70, sophomore Juan Pablo Candela tied for 87th at +15 with an 81 and 74, and Jake Skinner tied for 98th at +21 with an 83 and 78.
Hartford won the 21-team tournament at 9-over while Richmond's Jordan Utley won the individual title at -3. Hartford finished three shots ahead of Campbell as Wofford, Old Dominion, Winthrop, Richmond, Liberty and Elon were in front of the Tigers and Davidson, St. Bonaventure, Binghamton, George Washington, South Carolina-Upstate, James Madison, Radford, George Mason, Drexel, Saint Joseph's, Delaware and Samford rounded out the field.
The tournament completed Princeton's fall season as the Tigers will begin their spring schedule in March.
