Men's Golf Finishes 17th at Yale's MacDonald Cup

NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- Andrew Maliniak was Princeton's top finisher at Yale's MacDonald Cup tournament, a two-round event that wrapped up Sunday with the Tigers tying for 17th as a team.
Maliniak shot a 70 Saturday to stand just one shot off the individual lead, following it up with a 77 Sunday to tie for 15th at +7. Juan Pablo Candela tied for 68th at +16 with an 81 and 75, while Jake Skinner tied for 92nd at +19 with a 75 and 84 and Eric Salazar tied for 104th at +21 with an 82 and 79. Max Schechter was Princeton's fifth finisher in 118th place with an 83 and 81 at +24.
TCU edged Yale by five shots to win the team title while the Bulldogs' Taylor Hakes won the individual title at +2.
The Tigers have two more fall tournaments, first at the Big Five Classic outside of Philadelphia Oct. 13-14.
