Scott Wins "E" Flight at USTA Women's Collegiate Invitational

Members of the Princeton women's tennis team competed at the USTA Women's Collegiate Invitational this past weekend at the USTA Naitonal Tennis Center, with junior Kristen Scott winning the "E" flight singles to highlight Tiger results.
Scott defeated players from Columbia and Army and then Brown players in both the semifinals and championship match to win the "E" flight. She also joined freshman Sarah Hoffman in reaching the quarterfinals of the "B" flight doubles after wins over teams from LIU and Dartmouth.
In the "A" doubles flight, the team of sophomores Blakely Ashley and Sarah Huah made the semifinals, defeating teams from Ivy rivals Columbia and Cornell and then N.C. State from the ACC before losing to a Texas A&M tandem in the final four.
In singles, senior Ivana King played in the "A" flight and reached the quarterfinals, defeating players from Penn State and Boston University before losing to the tournament's No. 4 seed in the final eight.
Overall, Tiger singles players and doubles teams won 18 of the 28 matches they played at the event, which lasted from Saturday until Monday.
