Meagan Cowher Named Ivy League Co-Player of the Week for Women's Basketball
November 26, 2007 | Women's Basketball
PRINCETON -- Meagan Cowher scored 50 points over two games for the Princeton women's basketball team last week and earned Ivy League Co-Player of the Week accolades Monday.
Against Lehigh last Tuesday, Cowher had her second double-double of the season, scoring 18 points with 11 rebounds. She followed it up Saturday with 32 points and 13 boards, the 16th double-double of her career. Her 32 points matched the second-most she has scored with her personal record of 35 coming last season against Cornell. The Princeton single-game record is 38, set by Ellen DeVoe in 1985.
Cowher shared the Ivy weekly honor with Harvard's Lindsay Hallion. A senior, Cowher now has 1,260 career points, eighth on the Princeton all-time list. She and the Tigers will return to the court Thursday evening at St. Francis (N.Y.).
