December 04, 2007 | Women's Basketball
PRINCETON -- Princeton women's basketball senior Meagan Cowher has been named as one of 30 finalists for the Lowe's Senior CLASS Award, the award's organizers announced Tuesday.
Cowher leads the Tigers and the Ivy League with 18 points and 9.3 rebounds per game. She has twice been named a first-team All-Ivy League honoree and was chosen as the 2005 Ivy League Rookie of the Year.
The award focuses on what it calls the four Cs: character, community, competition and classroom. Cowher, a religion major, is the president of the Varsity Student-Athlete Advisory Committee at Princeton and is a tri-captain on the women's basketball team this season. Through the VSAAC, Cowher organizes projects that benefit her fellow students and the surrounding community.
