No. 27 Alabama Outlasts Princeton in Men's Tennis, 5-2

27th-ranked Alabama won a hotly-contested doubles point with two tiebreak victories and won three singles matches in straight sets on the way to a 5-2 win over No. 74 Princeton in a men's tennis match played at Jadwin Gym Friday afternoon.
Each doubles match went to a tiebreak Friday, but Alabama won at No. 3 and No. 1 to clinch the point. The tiebreak in the No. 1 match between Princeton's Alex Krueger-Wyman and Sratha Saengsuwarn and Alabama's Dan Buikema and Mathieu Thibaudeau ended in a 10-8 score.
Princeton won both the No. 1 and No. 2 singles matches after the team match was clinched. Peter Capkovic won a third-set proset over the 56th-ranked player in the country, Joseph Jung, while Saengsuwarn won a proset over Sammy Struyf at No. 2.
At No. 4, George Carpeni also went to three sets with Javier Bes before Bes won a third-set proset.
The Tigers (2-1) host St. Joseph's on Saturday at Jadwin Gym.
