Tigers Defeat St. Joseph's By 6-1 Score

Sophomore Alex Vuckovic and freshman George Carpeni each won in both singles and doubles to lead the Princeton men's tennis team to a 6-1 victory over St. Joseph's Saturday morning at Jadwin Gym.
Vuckovic joined classmate Peter Capkovic to win at No. 2 doubles over Phil Garabedian and Matt Glasgow. He then had Princeton's easiest singles win of the day at No. 5, defeating Nick Tuxen by scores of 6-2 and 6-1.
Carpeni joined Ted Mabrey to clinch the doubles point for Princeton with an 8-3 win at No. 3 doubles. He then defeated Glasgow in straight sets by scores of 7-6 and 6-2 at No. 3 singles.
Princeton won five of the six singles matches, four of which went to three sets. Alex Krueger-Wyman won a third-set tiebreak to defeat Phil Bayliss at No. 2, while Charlie Brosens came from behind to defeat Pat Adams 6-2 in the third set at No. 4 singles.
Mark Gober won in three sets at No. 6 singles when he defeated Lucho Perez-Abreu 6-0 in the third set.
