Princeton Golf Teams to Head South for Spring Break

PRINCETON, N.J. -- The Princeton men's golf team will begin its spring in Arizona, while the women will head to Florida for their third tournament of the spring.
The defending Ivy League champion Tiger men will be competing in the Ron Moore Invitational at the Palm Valley Golf Club in Goodyear, Ariz., on a par-72 course that measures 7,015 yards. The two-day tournament will feature 54 holes, with 36 Monday and 18 Tuesday, both days beginning at 8 a.m.
Princeton will be one of 17 teams competing in the tournament, which is co-hosted by the University of Denver and Iowa State. Air Force, Boise State, Colorado State, DePaul, Kansas State, Louisiana-Monroe, Nebraska, Northern Iowa, Southern Utah, Texas-San Antonio, Utah, Weber State, Wichita State and Wyoming will also be part of the field.
The Princeton women will compete in the Waterlefe Invitational at the Waterlefe Golf & River Club in Bradenton, Fla., just south of Tampa. The tournament will be hosted by the University of South Florida and will be played Monday and Tuesday with 36 holes on the first day and 18 on day two. The course is a par-72 and measures 4,770 yards.
South Florida and Princeton will be two of 13 teams in the tournament. The field also includes Georgetown, St. John's, Miami (Fla.), Coastal Carolina, Florida International, Cincinnati, Maryland, Mercer, Southern Mississippi, James Madison and Daytona Beach Community College.
