Men's Golf Through Two Rounds at Moore Invite in Arizona

GOODYEAR, Ariz. -- The Princeton men's golf team stands in 16th place at the Ron Moore Invitational at Palm Valley Golf Club in Goodyear, Ariz., with one round to play Tuesday.
Princeton finished at +19 through the first two rounds played Monday as Wichita State leads the tournament at -24. The 17-team tournament is co-hosted by the University of Denver and Iowa State.
Freshman Juan Pablo Candela is Princeton's top individual, standing in a 30th-place tie at -1 after a 73 and 70. Senior John Sawin is tied for 53rd at +3 (72-14-146), while freshman Jake Skinner is tied for 77th at +8 (78-74-152), sophomore Andrew Maliniak is 85th at +10 (75-79-154) and senior Brent Herlihy is tied for 96th at +17 (81-80-161).
Wichita State's Ryan Spears has the low round of the tournament with a first-round 64 (-8), but Boise State's Troy Merritt leads at -9 overall after a 67 and 68.
The tournament will wrap up with 18 holes Tuesday.
