Tigers Earn Pair of League Wins

The 16th-ranked Princeton women's water polo team picked up a pair of league wins on the road on Saturday, defeating Maryland 11-6 and George Washington 13-3. The wins ran the Tigers' record to 15-7 overall and 4-0 in the CWPA Southern Division.
In the day's first game, Princeton jumped to an early lead and never trailed in an 11-6 win at Maryland. It was Princeton's fourth win this season over the Terps as Princeton led 4-2 after a quarter and 7-3 at the half. Freshman Phoebe Champion led the offensive charge with three goals in the win and was one of six Tigers to score goals in the win. Junior Natalie Kim got the win with 12 saves in three quarters.

Princeton made it two wins on the day later in the afternoon with a 13-3 win at George Washington. The Tigers raced out to a 5-0 lead in the first quarter and were up 8-1 by the half. Champion again led the way, scoring four goals in the game, while senior Karina Reyner added three goals. Kim also earned the win in the game, making six saves in three quarters.
