Tigers Defeat Loyola Marymount in Men's Tennis, 6-1

Sratha Saengsuwarn lost just one game in a win at No. 2 singles and joined Alex Krueger-Wyman for an 8-1 win at No. 1 doubles to lead the Princeton men's tennis team to its fifth win in six matches, a 6-1 victory over Loyola Marymount in a match played inside at Jadwin Gym Monday afternoon.
Saengsuwarn defeated Nikola Petrov 6-0 and 6-1 at No. 2, giving Princeton its first singles win and a 2-0 lead. Princeton then took a 3-0 lead when Peter Capkovic defeated Nico Terrien 6-3 and 6-2 at No. 1, and the Tigers clinched the match when Alex Vuckovic held off Matt Phillips at No. 5 singles by scores of 6-3 and 7-5.
The Tigers won all three doubles matches to earn the doubles point. Capkovic and Vuckovic won 8-3 at No. 2 to clinch the point for Princeton.
Princeton also earned singles wins at Nos. 3 and 6. Krueger-Wyman defeated Sam Tadevosian 7-5 and 6-4 at No. 3, while Charlie Brosens lost just four games in a straight-set win over Reyniere Roxas at No. 6
5-1 Princeton, ranked No. 75 nationally, will host Stony Brook Saturday afternoon at Jadwin Gym.
