Harper, Kloss, Pardo Lead Tiger Women's Track at Sam Howell Invitational

Strong performances in the field events by Emma Harper, Jess Kloss and Marta Pardo highlighted Princeton action on the women's side at the 10th Annual Sam Howell Invitational on a chilly Saturday afternoon at Weaver Track & Field Stadium.
Harper's throw of more than 48 meters in the hammer (158 feet, one inch) was good for third place among 19 athletes in the overall competition, while Kloss was one of two pole vaulters to clear 11 feet, 5 3/4 inches (3.50 meters) to tie for third in that competition. In the triple jump, Pardo was the third-place competitor out of 11 jumpers with a mark of 36 feet, 4 1/4 inches.
Harper also competed in the shot put, where her throw of 39 feet, 10 1/2 inches was good for eighth place.
On the track, Avigail Kifer was fourth out of 24 competitors in the 1,500 meters in a time of 4:53.89, while Caroline Brody was one of four runners to finish the 400 meters in less than a minute to finish fourth in that competition.
Christine Brozynski was the fifth-place finisher in the women's 400-meter hurdles for Princeton, finishing the race in a time of 1:07.46
The Tigers will host Penn and Yale in a tri-meet at Weaver Stadium next Saturday.
