Princeton Football Announces Class Of 2011
May 14, 2007 | Football
Head football coach Roger Hughes, who has guided Princeton to a 16-4 record over the last two seasons and led the Tigers to the 2006 Ivy League championship, announced the 27-member Class of 2011. Each will make their way to Princeton in late August to both join the 2007 team in fall camp and begin their academic careers.
"I am very pleased with this incoming class," Hughes said. "As a staff, we feel we have recruited players that will fit in with and add to the winning culture we have worked hard to create over the recent years. There may even be a handful of players that can contribute to the 2007 team as we attempt to build off the success of our previous squads, especially the championship team of 2006."
The Class of 2011 comes from 17 different states, including a class-high five from Princeton's own state of New Jersey.
Led by co-captains Brendan Circle and Jon Stem, the 2007 Princeton football team will open its season Sept. 15 against Lehigh University. All game times will be available on GoPrincetonTigers.com when they are determined.
