Men's Golf to Travel to Long Island for St. John's McLaughlin Invite

PRINCETON -- The Princeton men's golf team will join host St. John's and 15 others at Bethpage State Park on Long Island, N.Y., for the McLaughlin Invitational to be played on the Red Course Friday and Saturday.
The McLaughlin is the second of five fall tournaments for the team, which began its season last weekend in Minnesota with a 12th-place finish at the Gopher Invtiational. Sophomore Juan Pablo Candela led Princeton's contingent and finished tied for 39th.
This weekend's tournament will begin Friday at 8:30 a.m. for Princeton, which will tee off along with Connecticut and Harvard at that time. Tee times for Saturday will begin at 7:30 a.m. and depend on Friday's finish to determine the order. Bethpage Red measures 6,685 yards for the tournament.
Scheduled to participate in the tournament along with Princeton, Connecticut, Harvard and host St. John's are Columbia, Creighton, Drexel, George Washington, Hofstra, Iona, Jacksonville State, Johnson & Wales, Penn, Seton Hall, St. Thomas Aquinas, Temple and West Florida.
