
Princeton Releases 2008 Baseball Schedule

PRINCETON - Early season trips to Delaware, Virginia and North Carolina, plus six home dates later in the season, highlight the 2008 Princeton baseball schedule. The season kicks off with a doubleheader on March 1 at Delaware.
Princeton opens the season by playing its first two weekends on the road prior to Spring Break. Princeton starts the year with its first 17 games away from Clarke Field. The Tigers will play four games at Delaware the opening weekend in a pair of doubleheaders, then a week later play a doubleheader and a single game at Richmond.
After a week on campus, the Tigers set out for their Spring Break trip, a week of games in North Carolina and Maryland. The trip starts with three games at UNC Greensboro, and continues with midweek games at North Carolina. The Tigers close out the trip with four games at Navy.
The Tigers open the Northern portion of the schedule on March 26 with its home opener, a midweek game at Rutgers. Princeton then opens up at home the final weekend of March with Dartmouth and Harvard in town for doubleheaders.
Princeton heads to Yale and Brown the following weekend for doubleheaders, the play their Gehrig-opening series at Columbia, before coming home for games against Seton Hall and Penn. The Tigers visit St. John's and Cornell, then host Cornell, before ending the regular season at Rider.
