Men's Soccer Denied an Overtime Win at Adelphi

GARDEN CITY, N.Y. (10/8/08) ? Adelphi University's Patrick Figueiredo connected on a penalty kick in overtime to give the men's soccer team a 2-1 win over Princeton University on Wednesday, Oct. 8.
Figueiredo gave the Panthers a 1-0 lead at 17:13 when he
paired up with Kemalie Preston. Preston dribbled the ball into the attacking
end and send the ball to Figueiredo in the slot, who sent it past
Freshman Antoine Hoppenot tallied his first career goal at 63:08
to tie the game for
Neither team had a shot on net before the penalty kick decided the game.
