Men's Soccer Ties Yale 2-2 in Season Finale

PRINCETON, N.Y. (11/15/08) ? The Princeton men's soccer team played to a 2-2 tie with Yale on Saturday, Nov. 15 in the final game of the 2008 season. The Tigers conclude the season with a 5-9-3 overall record and a 2-2-3 Ivy League mark.
Yale took a 1-0 lead at 27:23 with a goal off a free kick. Sam Post took the free kick from 15 yards out, setting up Max Rhodes for the goal. Princeton tied it up under 10 minutes later to end the first half, 1-1. Freshman Antoine Hoppenot raced down the left flank just before reaching the endline, sent a cross to junior Devin Muntz. Muntz buried the ball in past goalkeeper Travis Chulick.
The Tigers made it 2-1, scoring on a penalty kick in the 62nd minute. Chulick was charged with pulling the player down in the box to have the PK awarded to Princeton.
Aden Farina-Henry tied it up with a header at 73:12, with help from Jordan Raybould.
Princeton had three shots to Yale's two shots in the overtime sessions. Overall the Tigers outshot the Bulldogs, 20-11 and took four corners to Yale's three.
Chulick finished the night with five saves. Senior Joe Walter, who started the game, made two saves and allowed both goals before being replaced by sophomore Sean Lynch at 76:45. Lynch would not be tested in the final 33:15.
