December 18, 2025 | Men's Soccer
PRINCETON, N.J. – Giuliano Fravolini Whitchurch and Andrew Samuels were named United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-Americans, the organization announced Thursday.
Whitchurch and Samuels were two of just 11 players to be selected to the First Team. They were also named to the Scholar All-East Region yesterday. For both Tigers, this is the latest in a string of highly prestigious accolades earned as they cap off an outstanding 2025 season.
Senior Whitchurch, an economics major, is a United Soccer Coaches Third Team All-American, United Soccer Coaches All-Region and First Team All-Ivy honoree.
Junior Samuels, a public and international affairs major, was named the Ivy League Defensive Player of the Year. Samuels was also named the Ivy League Tournament Most Outstanding Player, and he was a United Soccer Coaches All-Region honoree.
Both were named CSC Academic All-Americans earlier this week.
A dynamic defensive duo, the pair helped Princeton record a program-record 13 shutouts this season. Not allowing a single goal in conference play, Princeton achieved an Ivy League first. With the help of Whitchurch and Samuels, Princeton allowed just four goals in the regular season to lead in the nation in goals against, save percentage and shutout percentage.
After participating in the MLS College Showcase this past weekend, both highly-decorated Tigers now await the MLS Superdraft this afternoon at 2 p.m.
