Princeton, N.J. (11/17/08) - Freshman guard Lauren Edwards of the Princeton women's basketball team was named the Ivy League Rookie of the Week, the league office announced on Monday, Nov. 17.

Edwards played 20 minutes in her collegiate debut during Princeton's 69-57 win versus Fordham in the season opener. She finished as the team's second-leading scorer with 14 points. Edwards was a perfect 4-for-4 at the free throw line and grabbed three rebounds. She also forced Fordham into three turnovers.

The Tigers will face nationally-ranked Rutgers tomorrow, Nov. 18 at 7:30 p.m., in New Brunswick, N.J.
