PRINCETON, N.J. (11/29/08) ? The Princeton women's basketball team
returns to the hardwoods on Sunday, Nov. 30 when it makes the short trip to LehighUniversity
for a 2 p.m. game.

Princeton owns a 13-8 advantage in the all-time
series with Lehigh. The Tigers have won the last three meetings, including a
61-49 victory last season at Jadwin Gym. The Mountain Hawks last victory in the
series came in 2004, a 64-51 win.
Princeton sports a 3-1 record having won its last
two games including a 62-47 victory over Fairleigh Dickinson on Tuesday, Nov.
25. This is the Tigers' best start since the 2001-02 season. Princeton's lone
loss this season came at No. 2/3 Rutgers.
Sophomore Addie Micir paces the Princeton
offense, averaging 13.8 points per game. She is team's top free throw shooter,
hitting 90 percent of her chances (18-20), and has drained nine three-point
baskets. Senior Whitney Downs is contributing 10 points per game and freshman
Lauren Edwards is chipping in 9.3 points per game.Downs has
the most steals on the team with nine, and most assists with seven. Freshman
Devona Allgood leads the team under the basket with 8 rebounds per game, and
junior Cheryl Stevens is picking up 5.5 per game. Stevens is the team's leading
in blocks, with five.
Lehigh also enters the game with just one
blemish on its record, a loss to St.
Joseph's. Sophomore Erica Prosser is the team's
leading scorer, averaging 17.6 points per game. Prosser leads the team in
steals with 12, and has added 23 assists. Senior Claire Sullivan leads the team
in assists with 26 and has chipped in 10 steals. Junior Alex Ross is averaging
12.8 points per game, ranking second on the team. Senior Tricia Smith has
collected 7.8 rebounds per game, with freshman Alexa Williams right behind with
5.6 boards per game.
Princeton and Lehigh have played one similar
opponent, Fairleigh Dickinson. The Tigers most recently posted a 62-47 win over
the Knights at home, while the Mountain Hawks recorded a 90-54 victory on the
road.
