Men's Golf Stands Fourth as First Round Halted at Cavalier Classic

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. -- Players from 12 of the 21 teams in the Cavalier Classic field finished their first round Saturday as a three-hour weather delay cut daylight short.
The teams still on the course will finish their first rounds tomorrow before beginning the final round. Princeton is in fourth place among the teams that have completed their rounds, and freshman Evan Harmeling carded a 69 to stand in a three-way tie for second, one shot behind Conrad Von Borsig of Virginia and his 68.
Max Schechter shot a 72, while Andrew Maliniak carded a 74, Juan Pablo Candela scored a 78 and Eric Salazar finished with an 87.
Virginia is at -6 as a team on the par-72 course, leading Augusta State by five shots, North Carolina State by nine and Princeton by 11.
