Men's Golf to Open Spring Season Friday-Saturday at Marshall

PRINCETON -- The Princeton men's golf team will open its season with a two-day tournament Friday and Saturday at Marshall University, the first of four scheduled tournaments for the Tigers this spring.
The Marshall Invitational will be held at Guyan Golf and Country Club in Huntington, W. Va., as a 54-hole tournament with players starting 36 holes of play Friday across the course at 8:30 a.m. and at holes 1 and 10 at 8 a.m. Saturday for one round. The par-71 course measures 6,476 yards.
Princeton will be one of 17 teams in this year's Marshall Invite field. The others are Ball State, Bowling Green, Cincinnati, Eastern Kentucky, Illinois, Marquette, Miami (Ohio), Northern Illinois, Ohio, Ohio State, Penn State, Rhode Island, Richmond, William and Mary, Wright State and the host Thundering Herd.
Princeton competed in five tournaments in the fall with a high finish of second place at the Big Five Classic outside Philadelphia in October. The Tigers will have three more tournaments this spring with the Princeton Invitational coming up next Friday and Saturday at Springdale Golf Club.
