Princeton To Host ECAC/IC4A Outdoor Championships At Weaver Stadium

Princeton will once again host many of the East's top track & field athletes when the 132nd IC4A Men's and 25th ECAC Women's Outdoor Track & Field Championships visit Weaver Stadium beginning Fri., May 16, and continuing through Sun., May 18.
Results for the championship will be available at http://www.lancertiming.com and at the above link and will be updated at the conclusion of each event beginning at 2 p.m. ET Friday.
Championship action begins Friday afternoon with the men's decathlon and women's heptathlon and concludes Sunday afternoon with the always-exciting 4X400 relays on both the men's and women's sides.
Ticket prices for a two-day pass are $16 for adults and $8 for seniors 55-and-over and youths 14-and-under. Single-day passes are $10 for adults and $5 for seniors 55-and-over and youths 14-and-under. Youth prices also apply to students from participating institutions; admission for Princeton students with ID is free.

On the men's side, 24 Princeton individuals and two relay teams are entered into this weekend's IC4A meet thanks to qualifying performances during the outdoor season. Several Tiger athletes may be entered in more than one event, including Nick Crumpton in the long jump and triple jump and George Abyad in both the discus and shot put. Sophomore Justin Frick will be looking for his second straight IC4A high jump title; he cleared 7 feet, 1/4 inch last May to win the event.
On the women's side, 13 individuals and the Tiger 4X800 meter relay will participate in the ECAC meet. The Tigers will have strong entrants in the distance races, including freshmen Ashley Higginson and Sarah Cummings in the 3,000 meters, while Heps pole vault champion Jess Kloss will lead a group of field event specialists. Freshman hurdler Lauren Barber is also entered in the meet for the Tigers.
Several Tigers on both the men's and women's sides have already qualified for the NCAA East Regional Championships, which will take place May 30-31 at Florida State University.
