Come Play with the Tigers: Women's Basketball to Host Camp in June
May 23, 2008 | Women's Basketball
PRINCETON -- Princeton head women's basketball coach Courtney Banghart has scheduled the program's annual camps for the second half of June. Attendees entering grades five through 12 are welcome to sign up.
The camp for grades 5-10 runs from June 22-25, and the 8th-12th grade camp runs from June 27-29 with overnight options available for both camps. All campers will receive a basketball, t-shirt and other camp prizes.
Camps will feature daily instruction from Banghart and her coaching staff as well as many current Tiger players. Each camp will be held on campus between Jadwin Gym and Dillon Gym. Overnight campers will stay in Princeton residence halls and take meals in university dining halls. All campers will also be able to use the pool at Dillon Gym.
"The primary emphasis of the Princeton University Basketball Camps is to develop fundamental basketball skills while emphasizing the fun of the game," Banghart says. "The camp curriculum is the combination of small station drills, daily team practices, full-court games and group lectures designed to advance the players' understanding of game concepts and team play."
Campers can sign up online at www.princetonsportscamps.com or by calling 609-258-3369.
