Men's Soccer Falls 2-0 to No. 11 UIC

CHICAGO (9/19/08) ? The Princeton University men's soccer team recorded a 2-0 loss to the University of Illinois at Chicago on Friday, Sept. 19 in the first game of the Chicago Classic.
Princeton gave the No. 11-ranked Flames fits in the first half. The Tigers had four shots, all of which were on target, but UIC goalkeeper Jovan Bubonja denied all four shots. Freshman Antoine Hoppenot had back-to-back chances 15 minutes into the game.
The Flames tested the Tigers' keeper, Sean Lynch, who was making his second start in as many games, nine minutes into the game but he scooped the ball up and sent it back down the field.
UIC broke the stalemate at 39:48 when leading scorer Baggio Husidic header in a Charlie Trout corner kick.
The Flames struck again at 80:50, with Allen Husidic connecting with Trout on the right side and sending the ball to the back of the net.
UIC held a slim 7-6 advantage in shots, and took seven corners to Princeton's four.
Princeton (1-3) will face Northwestern on Sunday, Sept. 21 at 12 p.m., CT. The No. 9-ranked Huskies defeated Loyola Marymount, 1-0, this evening.
