Men's Tennis is Dartmouth-Bound for ITA Regional

PRINCETON -- Dartmouth is the next stop on the Princeton men's tennis team's itinerary as the Big Green will host the ITA Northeast Regional beginning Thursday and running through Tuesday, Oct. 20.
Yohei Shoji will start the tournament for the Tigers, playing in a qualifying singles match Thursday at 10 a.m. against the No. 6 seed in the 32-man draw, Chris Albornoz of Army. Players must win two matches to earn one of the eight spots in the main draw.
Already in the 96-man main draw from Princeton are Matija Pecotic, the No. 9 seed, with a first-round bye, Matt Siow facing a qualifier, Charlie Brosens facing Joe Goldstein of Connecticut, Ravi Yegya-Raman against Nicolas Pisecky of Marist, and No. 17 seed Matt Spindler getting a first-round bye. Main draw play will begin Friday.
Also beginning Friday is the 56-team doubles draw. Pecotic and Spindler will face Mike Hill and Andrew Yazmer of Brown in the first round, while Shoji and Siow will meet Pavel Cerny and Milo Hauk of St. John's to start. Alex Faust and Ilya Trubov will face Akash Muppidi and Jonathan Schroeder of Boston College in their first match.
