Shoji, Siow Advance at ITA Northeast Regional

HANOVER, N.H. -- Yohei Shoji and Matt Siow marched on to the third round of the ITA Northeast Regional tournament at Dartmouth Saturday, but Princeton found a tough road in singles play.
Shoji and Siow topped Dom Hemy and Sven Sjoerds of Fairleigh Dickinson, 8-5, and will advance to face Connor Dawson and Marc Powers of Yale, no earlier than 2 p.m. Sunday. Alex Faust and Ilya Trubov lost their second-round match to Enric Larregola and Mikhail Sudakov of St. Bonaventure, 8-2, to end their run in the second round.
In singles play, all four Tigers who entered Saturday still in the bracket were knocked out, with Shoji, Siow, Matt Spindler and Charlie Brosens felled in the second round. Scores for their matches are below.
