Courtney Banghart, Kathleen Sharkey And Adam Hollis Join TigerCast
October 22, 2009 | Field Hockey, Football, Women's Basketball
Women's basketball coach Courtney Banghart, field hockey standout Kathleen Sharkey and football assistant coach Adam Hollis are the guests for the Oct. 22 edition of TigerCast.
Banghart, a veteran of Ivy League women's basketball, is in her third season as head coach at Princeton. After a strong finish to the Tigers' 2008-09 season, Banghart has high hopes for a roster that blends exciting youth and experienced leadership. She talks about that mix of players, including a highly touted freshman class, as well as her reasons for a challenging early schedule for the 2009-10 team.
Sharkey is the leading scorer for the fourth-ranked field hockey team, which is one of four Princeton squads heading to Harvard this weekend. The Tigers are 11-2, 4-0 in the Ivy League and could clinch its fifth straight league crown with a win on Saturday and a Yale loss Sunday. Sharkey talks about the smaller goals that the team has set for a season it hopes ends at the NCAA Final Four.
Hollis, the offensive line coach, takes a look at both the progress of the Princeton offense and the challenges presented by the Harvard defense. The Princeton football team, which has played a trio of classic games at Harvard Stadium this decade, is looking for its first league win of the season when it takes on Harvard at noon.
