Zalewski Named Southern Player of the Week

PRINCETON (10/5/09) -- Princeton senior Mark Zalewski was named Southern Division Player of the Week on Monday following hat tricks in each of Princeton's wins over the weekend.
On October 3, he scored three times and added an assist as the 19th-ranked Tigers stymied 10th-ranked Navy 7-3 at home in DeNunzio Pool. His three goals came in the third periodd as he helped Princeton pull away from a 3-2 halftime lead to take a 6-3 advantage at the end of the period. A day later, he struck again for three goals on man-up situations in the squad's 12-5 victory over No. 18 Bucknell. Zalewski added an assist in each game.With his six goals, Zalewski now leads the team with 30 goals this season, and he as scored 16 goals over his last four games. Zalewski and the Tigers travel to California this weekend for a game at USC, following by the UCI Invitational.
