PRINCETON, N.J. (11/16/09) - Niveen Rasheed of the Princeton women's basketball team was named the Ivy League Rookie of the Week, it was announced by league office on Monday, Nov. 16.

Rasheed led Princeton in its season-opening victory on Friday, Nov. 13 with a 68-43 win over Stony Brook. Rasheed scored a game-high 18 points and pulled down a team-high nine boards. In addition she dished out three assists, two steals and one block. She shot 7-for-13 from the floor and was 3-for-5 from the free-throw line. She also went 1-for-2 from three-point range.

The Tigers host American in the home opener on Monday, Nov. 16 at 7 p.m.
