Princeton and LMU Earn First Two Spots in Men's Water Polo Championship

Princeton claimed the Eastern title on Sunday with a thrilling 5-4 win over Navy in the CWPA Championship game played at MIT. The Tigers are making their third overall NCAA tournament appearance and their first since the 2004 season.
Loyola Marymount earned the Western Water Polo Association championship on Sunday by defeating UC San Diego in the league's championship game, also by a 5-4 score. The Lions are making their seventh NCAA appearance and their third in a row.
The third automatic bid to the tournament will go to the winner of the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation tournament champion, which will be crowned next Sunday at USC, and the final tournament spot will go to an at-large selection.
Tickets to the NCAA Championship at DeNunzio Pool are currently on sale at the Princeton ticket office. Two-day passes for all four games cost $40 for adults and $30 for youth 14 and under and students of the participating institutions. Click here for more information.
