Rasheed a Three-peat for Rookie of the Week

PRINCETON, N.J. (11/30/09) - Freshman Niveen Rasheed was named the Ivy League Rookie of the Week for the third straight week for the week ending November 29, it was announced by the league office on Monday, Nov. 30.
Rasheed recorded her first career double-double during the week, as she led Princeton to a 1-1 week. For the week, Rasheed scored 31 points, averaging 15.5 points per game and 9.0 rebounds per game.
Against UCLA, Rasheed led the team on the glass with eight rebounds, while scoring 14 points. She shot 4 for 9 from the floor and made all but one of her seven free throws. In addition she picked up one block and one assist. On Friday, Rasheed posted a double-double in a 28-point win over UC Irvine. She scored 17 points and had 10 rebounds to give Princeton a 4-1 record. Rasheed also collected two steals and one block, as she went 8 for 14 from the floor.
For the season, Rasheed is averaging 16.2 points and 7.8 rebounds per game, both team bests.
