Allgood Nabs Rookie of the Week Honors

PRINCETON, N.J. (2/16/09) - Devona Allgood of the Princeton women's basketball team was named the Ivy League Rookie of the Week, it was announced by the league office on Monday, Feb. 16. This is the third straight week that Allgood has earned the honor.
Allgood led Princeton in scoring and in rebounds over the weekend, as it split with Yale and Brown. The Tigers lost a one-possession game to Yale on Friday before rebounding with a 25-point victory over Brown on Saturday. Allgood collected her second career double double against Yale on Friday, as she scored 13 points and added 11 rebounds. She also contributed a block and a steal each. On Saturday she was one rebound away from her second double-double of the weekend as she scored 10 points and had nine boards, both of which were team-bests. During the game she made two blocks and had one steal. For the week she averaged 11.5 points per game and 10.0 rebounds per game in an average of 28 minutes.
The Tigers travel to Harvard on Friday, Feb. 20 and Saturday, Feb. 21. Both games begin at 7 p.m.
