Fencing Teams Each Post Third-Place Finishes at Ivy Round-Robin

PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- Princeton's fencing teams each posted third-place finishes in the Ivy League as round-robin competition wrapped up Sunday at Brown.
The men finished 3-2 and the women 4-2, each with wins over Yale and Brown and a loss to Columbia on the second of the two-day round-robin setup that determines the league champ.
The finishes were up from last season for both teams, when the men finished fourth in 2008 and the women fifth as Columbia won both titles.
Five Princetonians, all freshmen, qualified for All-Ivy honors, including first-team foilist Lucile Jarry, second-team foilist Andrea Oliva, first-team sabreist Susannah Scanlan, first-team Alexander Mills and first-team epeeist Cooper Gegan.
