March 27, 2009 | Men's Tennis
PRINCETON -- The Ivy League tennis title races will be started and finished in a matter of 22 days beginning Saturday, when Princeton's tennis teams will host and visit Penn.
The men's team will be home at 2 p.m., while the women's team will begin at noon in Philadelphia. Both teams went on their spring trips last week, the men finishing with three straight wins, including two over ranked teams, and the women splitting four matches with both losses coming to top-30 teams.
With the two wins over ranked teams, the men entered the ITA's top-75 rankings for the first time this season at No. 73 while the women remained ranked and currently stand at No. 48.
Last season, Princeton's men tied for seventh in the Ivy League at 1-6 while the women took third at 5-2.
The men's match will be played at Lenz Tennis Center, weather permitting, or at Jadwin Gym in the event of rain.
