
Iona Rallies for 6-5 Win Over Women's Water Polo

PRINCETON -- Iona scored with 23 seconds left to come from behind and defeat the Princeton women's water polo team 6-5 on Friday night at DeNunzio Pool. Princeton led throughout the game until the Gaels scored twice in the final quarter.
Princeton got single goals from five players in the loss. Princeton led the game 3-0 with three straight goals in the first quarter, but the Gaels evened up with the only three goals of the second period. The Tigers stretched out a 5-4 lead in the third quarter and looked to be in good shape, but the Gaels shut down the Tigers in the final quarter, and scored two goals to rally for the win.
Princeton hosts Bucknell and George Washington tomorrow in league play.
