March 04, 2009 | Women's Soccer
PRINCETON -- Julie Shackford, the head coach of the 2008 Ivy League Champion Princeton women's soccer team, has announced a spring clinic to be held April 4 at Roberts Stadium for girls ages 5 to 12.
The two-hour clinic will begin at noon and will include two sessions, with one dedicated to improving technique and the other focusinig on teaching through small-sided games. Those attending the clinic are asked to bring a ball, cleats, shin guards and water.
Plummer Field, the artificial turf surface at Roberts Stadium, will host the clinic. The Roberts complex opened in fall 2008 and is among the finest collegiate soccer facilities in the nation, with the natural-grass Myslik Field in addition to Plummer Field.
Following the clinic, the women's soccer team will play a spring game against Seton Hall at 3 p.m. Those attending the clinic are encouraged to stay for the game and for a meet-and-greet with the players after.
The cost of the clinic is $30. Registration is available on the Web at http://www.princetonsportscamps.com/Clinic_Registration.htm
