Princeton Stands Third Halfway Through Home Men's Golf Invitational
April 12, 2009 | Men's Golf
PRINCETON -- Sophomore Eric Salazar's even-par 71 has led the Princeton men's golf team to a third-place standing midway through the rain-shortened Princeton Invitational at Springdale Golf Club.
The tournament was due to have two rounds Saturday and one Sunday, but Saturday's rain cut the day's play to one round. The champions will be decied after a total of 36 holes with 18 to go Sunday.
Salazar is tied for second place on the individual list, one shot back of Harvard's Greg Shuman and his 1-under 70. Rutgers leads the 14-team field at +10, four shots ahead of Columbia and seven shots ahead of Princeton.
