Women's Golf Ties for Second at Canes/Cardinal Classic

MIAMI LAKES, Fla. -- Led by a second-place finish from senior Susannah Aboff, the Princeton women's golf team tied for second place in a 12-team Canes/Cardinal Classic field hosted by the University of Miami at Don Shula's Golf Resort in Miami Lakes, Fla.
The tournament, which played the first two rounds Monday, wrapped up with one round Tuesday afternoon. Princeton was in fourth place after two rounds.
San Jose State, which Princeton faced in a head-to-head event over spring break, won the tournament at +23 as a team, 23 shots ahead of both Princeton and Washington State. The host Hurricanes, Penn State, Texas State, Texas Tech, Middle Tennessee State, Cincinnati, Maryland, Boise State and Akron rounded out the field.
Aboff, who shot 73s in each round of the tournament, finished at +3, five shots back of medalist Erica Moston of San Jose State at -2.
The Tigers will play next at Columbia's Roar-EE Invitational April 17-18, one week before the Ivy League Championships.
