Cummings and Maag Capture All-America Honors

PRINCETON, N.J. (6/22/09) ? Senior Michael Maag and sophomore Sarah Cummings have earned 2009 All-America honors by the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association, it was announced by the organization on Monday, June 15.
Maag captured the honors in the 5000-meter run, while Cummings received the award in the 10000-meter run.
Maag finished 10th in the 5,000 at the 2009 NCAA Championship, crossing the line at 14:14.67. This is Maag's second All-America award, having received the honor in cross country in 2007. Maag is the first Tiger to earn outdoor All-America honors in two years, and joins 16 other athletes who have earned 24 awards in the sport of outdoor track and field.
Cummings placed 12th in the championship 10,000 with a mark of 34:29.77. This is Cummings' first All-America honor. She is also the third Princeton women's track athlete to earn outdoor All-America honors in the last three years (Jolee vanLeuven in 2008; Catha Mullen in 2007), and she joins the list of 14 athletes to earn the prestigious honor in program history.
