Princeton jumped out to an early lead in the game and led 5-2 after a quarter and 7-4 at the half before Bucknell came from behind in the second half. The Bison scored the first five goals of the second half, four in the third quarter and one in the fourth quarter to grab a 9-7 lead, but Princeton battled to draw even at 9-9 before the Bison went ahead for good with 1:09 left in the game.
Senior Mark Zalewski scored a team-high four goals in the game, three coming while Princeton had a man advantage. Junior Jeff Cole added two goals and senior Scottie Hvidt made a career-high 18 saves in the game.
Princeton falls to 4-5 overall with the loss and is now 1-1 in the CWPA Southern Division. The Tigers face George Washington in league play tomorrow morning at 10:45 a.m.
