Kiernan Places Third at UW Invitational with Provisional Mark

SEATTLE (1/30/10) - Senior Reilly Kiernan of the Princeton women's track and field team finished third in the 5000-meter run at the University of Washington Invitational on Friday, Jan. 29.
Kiernan finished the run in 16:19.14, well beyond the NCAA Provisional Qualifying mark of 16:49.50. She shattered her previous personal best by nearly four seconds, having run a 16:22.98 at ECACs during the last indoor season.
Junior Sarah Cummings finished fifth in the event at 17:04.92.
The rest of the Tigers will compete at the New York Road Runners Saturday Night at The Armory II later this evening.
