Plenty of Tigers to Play on ITA Regional's Closing Days

NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- Five Princeton men's tennis players have won their way through the weekend at the ITA Northeast Regional hosted by Yale and will compete Monday on the tournament's penultimate day.
Sophomore Matija Pecotic will face Arnav Jain in the singles main draw's quarterfinals with the winner also playing in a semifinal Monday. Over the last two days, Pecotic defeated Nikoloz Kurdadze of Drexel and Erik Blumenkranz of Yale to advance to the tournament's final eight.
After losing his first-round match in the main draw, freshman Augie Bloom won four matches over the weekend to advance to the consolation bracket's final where he will take on Tim Klanke of Brown Monday.
Princeton still has two doubles teams alive, with Bloom and Matt Spindler advancing to Tuesday's final where a match with Matija Pecotic and Matt Siow could await if that Princeton pair can defeat Alistair Felton and Andy Nguyen of Harvard Monday.
