Bartlett, Marable Move On to Finals at ITA Regional

HANOVER, N.H. -- Princeton junior Hilary Bartlett and senior Taylor Marable have advanced to the final of the doubles draw at the ITA Northeast Regional by winning two matches during Monday's play.
The two Tigers defeated Cornell twin sisters Kelly Comolli and Shannon Comolli 8-4 in the quarters before defeating Nicole Bartnik and Bianca Sanon of Columbia 8-3 in the semis.
Next up is a noon match Tuesday against Vicky Brook and Lindsay Clark of Yale, who in the Round of 16 knocked out Princeton's other doubles pair in the event, Monica Chow and Rachel Saiontz. The seeds held for the final, with Bartlett and Marable holding the top seed and Brook and Clark at No. 2. The winner will gain a bid to the ITA Individual Indoors tournament Nov. 4-7 in New York.
The doubles matches were the second and third competitions for Bartlett Monday after she ended her singles draw run with a 7-6(6), 6-2 Round of 16 loss to Veronica Corning of Boston College.
