Buchbinder Named Southern Rookie of the Week

PRINCETON (10/7/10) - Kurt Buchbinder was named the CWPA Southern Division's Rookie of the Week on Wednesday following his performance for the Tigers last weekend at the SoCal Tournament.
Buchbinder broke into the starting lineup for the first time this season during Princeton's four games at the SoCal Tournament. There, he scored five goals in two games, netting four in a two-goal loss to 12th-ranked St. Francis and one in the Tigers' win over Redlands. He also had a field block in a loss to second-ranked UCLA, drew an ejection in the loss to St. Francis and won a sprint in each of the final three games.
Buchbinder and the Tigers are back in action with a single game this weekend, at home on Saturday afternoon against Bucknell at 2 p.m.
