Nov. 18 TigerCast: Guy Gadowsky And Luis Nicolao
November 18, 2010 | General, Men's Ice Hockey, Men's Water Polo
Head coaches Guy Gadowsky (men's ice hockey) and Luis Nicolao (men's water polo) talk about big upcoming weekends in the Nov. 18 edition of TigerCast.
Gadowsky, who has led Princeton to an ECAC title and two NCAA tournament appearances in the last three seasons, gives his early impressions of a team riding a three-game win streak into a home weekend against Harvard and Dartmouth. One of the victories was a 2-1 overtime win at Cornell, an emotional victory following a late tying goal by the Big Red. Gadowsky discusses both the experience and the youth of his program, including impressive freshman Andrew Calof.
Nicolao, pictured in his coaching attire during a Halloween victory over Brown, will be looking to lead the men's water polo team to a second straight Eastern championship this weekend. Princeton won this title last year and placed third in the NCAA Championships, the best finish ever for an Eastern program. Led by Matt Hale and Mike Merlone, the Tigers enter the weekend as the top seed, though the field looks deep and fairly even.
