Rasheed Earns Player of the Week Honors in Women's Basketball

Rasheed led Princeton in scoring in both games last week as Princeton went 1-1. The Tigers lost at the buzzer to Rutgers, 54-53, and rebounded with a 69-52 win at Lehigh.
On Thursday at the RAC, Rasheed scored 14 points and added seven rebounds against the Scarlet Knights, who received votes in both the preseason AP Poll and ESPN/USA Today Coaches Poll. She added three steals and one assist.
Rasheed recorded her first double-double of the season on Sunday, Nov. 21 in Princeton's 69-52 win over Lehigh, then ranked No. 18 in the CollegeInsider.com Mid Major Top 25. The victory halted Lehigh's 33-game home win streak as Princeton is the first team to win at Stabler Arena since the 2007-08 season. Rasheed scored 13 points and added 10 rebounds. She also led the team in steals with four and in assists with four.
Rasheed finished the week with 27 points, 17 rebounds, seven steals and five assists.
Princeton travels to the Vanderbilt Tournament this weekend. The Tigers take on USC on Friday, Nov. 26 with the winner/loser playing the winner/loser of the Vanderbilt/Quinnipiac game on Sunday, Nov. 28.
