Senior Co-Captain Matt Zimmerman Earns Academic All-District Honors
November 07, 2010 | Football
Senior co-captain Matt Zimmerman, who has two touchdowns this season and has started every game since the start of his sophomore season, has earned Academic All-District honors. Zimmerman is an economics major from Mountainside, N.J.
Zimmerman broke into the starting lineup during 2008 preseason camp and has excelled both on and off the field ever since. He has scored at least one touchdown each season as a starter, including a 30-yard score in a win over Yale last season, and he has both a rushing and receiving touchdown in 2010. He had a game-high 10 rushes against Penn and had a season-best 76 rushing yards one week earlier against Cornell.
Zimmerman is a senior co-captain, along with backfield mate Jordan Culbreath, and he will lead the Tigers next weekend in the 133rd playing of the Princeton-Yale game.
